EGG-LESS CHOCOLATE MOUSSE
The Chocolate Mousse is a classic French dessert that is super easy and delicious too. The traditional composition of classic mousse includes basic ingredients like (eggs, chocolate, and heavy cream). If you are into chocolate then this mousse is the ultimate chocolate fix. It's rich, glossy, creamy and fluffy.
Today I'm sharing a recipe of eggless, no-bake chocolate mousse that you will love!
Sometimes, I prefer eggless desserts as well because, in Europe, raw eggs are used in a number of popular desserts like Crème brûlée, Tiramisu, and amazing fruit tarts.
I prefer chocolate mousse because it's so easy and versatile. I mostly like to make mousse or Crumbles for special occasions or when I invite a guest over, it's super easy and hassle-free. As I mentioned it's versatile so if I have leftover chocolate mousse I fill it in my piping bag and use it as a chocolate frosting for muffins and cakes or even in Tiramisu.
Different methods: Every household has a unique recipe for making chocolate mousse some of them like to use yoghurt, some of them like to fold in shiny meringue or some of them they prefer eggless just like me.
I usually serve such kinds of desserts along with some fresh berries and dry fruits not only it enhances the nutty and tangy flavour but it also makes your chocolate mousse Yummy and attractive.
Let's dive together and learn how to make scrumptious CHOCOLATE MOUSSE!
I'm going to explain a full recipe with instructions and step by step pictures for better understanding.
Ingredients
1. 125 ml Heavy whipping cream
2. 125 g dark chocolate (70% cacao)
3. 1 small bowl of roughly chopped strawberries for presentation.
How to make Chocolate Mousse in chocolate cups?
Notes:
- Firstly, take one pan and a small heatproof bowl. In a pan, fill in some water and place it on medium heat, now place the chocolate into a heatproof bowl and place it over the pan of gently simmering water. ( Don't fill excess water otherwise water goes into the chocolate bowl).
- Stir until all the chocolate turns into a liquid ( Chocolate ganache is ready). Now, set aside to cool slightly and add 1/4 cup cream and mix well. ( use room temperature cream otherwise there is a risk of breaking the bowl.
- Now, in a separate bowl whipped chilled whipping cream with the help of an electric beater to forms soft creamy peaks or beat until thickened and creamy consistency. (Don't overbeat otherwise it will separate and looks like a grainy butter). It happened to me when I tried it for the first time.
- Slowly, add 1 tbsp of melted chocolate into a cream and fold gently with the help of a whisk, repeat the process until you fold all the melted chocolate into a creamy mixture.
- Place it in a refrigerator for 2 hours before serving.
- For chocolate cups- take small disposable glasses and make a slight cut and pour 2 tbsps chocolate ganache into the glasses and shake it so that glass will cover with the melted chocolate. Then, keep it aside in the freezer for 7 minutes.
- Take out the chocolate cups slowly by removing the disposable cup.
- Spoon the chocolate mousse into serving decadent chocolate cups and layered with strawberries and garnish with grated dark chocolate and wedges of lemon zest.

Notes:
1. Don't overmix/overbeat the whipping cream, if you overbeat in excess then the cream will start separating and looks like grainy butter.
2. Chocolate and coffee go really well! add a tbsp of prepared strong coffee to the melted chocolate and you will get a new mocha flavour.
