Well, today I feel nostalgic because it's raining here and my husband is away for 2 days.😐 When it rains, I feel like eating hot crispy snacks like fresh fries, pakora's, crepes with tea. (Garam chai ki pyali) Yumminess! Do you feel the same way?

Today, I'm sharing a tasty highly popular Indian hot snack recipe that is meant for the rainy season!  Moong dal bhajiya's also known as fritters, with crushed peppercorns and coriander seeds which enhance the flavor of crispy dumplings. These fritters can be prepared in different ways like with onions, cauliflower, potatoes, paneer, lentils, and cheese.

Today, I'll show you how to make crispy moong dal fritters that are made from the batter of moong dal lentils.

  8. 1 tsp crushed peppercorns
  9. 1 tsp coriander seeds
  10. 1 tbsp corn flour chickpea flour
  11. salt to taste

                    Directions

                    1. Firstly, take one cup washed and cleaned yellow moong lentil(dal) and soaked for at least one hour in water.
                    2. Then, remove the excess water and put the moong dal into a mixer grinder and grind coarsely.
                    3. Transfer the paste into a large bowl and add a little amount of water into a mixing jar to get all the remaining paste out of the jar. Shake well and pour the mixture into a bowl.
                    4.  Add in all the chopped vegetables, dry spices, and coriander leaves into a batter. Mix well.
                    5. Take a frying pan and add in enough vegetable oil for frying fritters on medium heat.
                    6. Now with the help of spoon take a small portion of batter and pour it in a frying pan and fry until crispy and golden brown.
